New York City based Photographer helps to capture a surprise proposal in upstate New York.
So initially, Andy’s sister was the one that reached out to me about his proposal idea. “This is for my twin brother’s engagement!” And of course my response was a resounding, deeply-moved YAAAASSSS!!! I mean who doesn’t love love??
Andy was so thrilled by his plan, and I was right there with him.
“This was the easiest decision I’ve ever made in my life.”
I grabbed a car, and drove upstate to meet Andy in Glen Spey, NY. If you don’t know this spot, definitely check it out! What a gorgeous getaway from any city’s hustle and bustle.
THE PROPOSAL: PART ONE
Andy and Jen would be spending time at Jen’s family’s bungalow on Lake Loch Ada (the gorgeous lake in all these pictures.) I drove up early on their last vacation morning, and Andy snuck me over to the proposal site; a sweet little pocket off the lake.
THE PROPOSAL: PART TWO
Andy went inside to grab Jen, and take her out for a morning boat ride. After a short row, (it was a little bit chilly that morning!) He paused in this little bay, and pulled out her great great Uncle Irving’s handmade ring. (He was a jeweler in the diamond district in Manhattan, so cool!)
Pictured above: Camps on the opposite shore of Lake Loch Ada. Fun fact: Jen’s grandparents actually met at those camps growing up, back when it was called Camp Brookwood. It is now known as Brookwood Camps, and is still fully functional today! Talk about *gorgeous* ~ Check them out!
I mean how cute are those coffee mugs, paired with that handhold shot. *audibly weeps*
