Brooklyn sunset photoshoot of the gorgeous couple on their special day.
Okay listen, it wasn’t what Kristin and Eric had originally planned for their special day… but *~ wowza ~* was it a magical fall evening in Brooklyn.
Our Brooklyn fall wedding—meets—engagement session
Kristin messaged me about their wedding situation; “Now that our nuptials are super super postponed, I think it could be fun to take some pics on the original day.” We’ll get to the wedding date postponement later (Thanks Miss COVID), but I gotta say:
I definitely gasped when I read her message because I know (a) how big their love is, (b) how pretty they both are, and (c) how gorgeous those Brooklyn sunsets can be. On top of all of that, it was their special day to celebrate them!
Y’all, we had a lovely time. We took a nice walk through their neighborhood and got to the water for the sunset — *snapping fingers* Come through, Greenpoint!
Now, the original plan for the day looked a little different…
They were all set to get hitched that day in Livermore, California. They’d celebrate alongside family and friends, at California Ranch events. (A breathtaking California wedding destination, just saying! Check them out.)
Then Miss COVID showed up, and the whole plan went to whack.
(Do people still use that phrase, went to whack? Is that a thing?)
“It was just too sad to picture our wedding without hugs or dancing,” said Eric about the call to move the wedding back. “We decided we’d rather postpone and do it big like we dreamed, when [it’s] safe to do so.”
Keep in mind the original day in question was September 12, 2020…(Take a second and think about the state of our world on that date…) Need we say more?
They postponed the event to October 2021, for optimal safety and love-fest celebration levels. Cannot say I blame them; My personal wedding plans include a full on party, too! Duh! (More on my own wedding plans in another post…)
Also I feel very much compelled to point out that we ended the session grabbing some local Brooklyn pizza from Franklin Pizza—YUM! Give me the za anytime, anywhere, always and forever.
It was a transcendent evening. I hope to carry the beautiful light they shared with me that day, forever! I consider it a true blessing to help couples capture their special moments. What an incredible experience. #blessed
